What is this?

We’ve reached out to you to be a guest in The ADU Hour.

The ADU Hour is a new program that we’re running as an ad-hoc attempt to provide a live, engaging, educational learning experience for professionals and policy makers that are interested in some of the latest ADU trends and insights from practitioners and policymakers. The ADU Hour program will run on a time-limited basis during the pandemic shut down.

The program will be hosted by Kol Peterson, and you will be the guest. You and Kol will have a back and forth conversation. Kol will provide some questions and you will serve as a subject matter expert, sharing your insights on the topic at hand.

When

The shows will last ~1 hour, June 14-18th, 9am-10am.

This initial interview portion of the program will last 30-40 minutes. Then, we’ll open up the event for participants to ask questions for up to 15 minutes. So, the whole program is roughly 60 minutes. Guests should log in at 8:45am.

The program will be conducted by Zoom.

The schedule will be posted on The ADU Hour homepage.

Audience

The audience will be ADU practitioners and policy makers.

These questions will be vetted by Kelcy King, an ADU Specialist broker based in Bellingham, WA. Kelcy will serve as program assistant for technical execution of the live program.

Program Objective and Agreement

The general objective of the ADU Hour program is to help increase the supply and demand for ADUs and other small, alternative infill housing.

The live show will be free. The tone of the show will be fairly informal. Kol will invite you to promote your services, products and ideas, but in general, the idea is to help increase knowledge about ADUs for participants. Being a guest on this program is an opportunity to get some visibility from a national audience that is interested in your topic area.

After the initial show, the material will be archived and may be used in a variety of ways by Accessory Dwelling Strategies LLC (eg. turned into audio podcasts, blog posts, or provided as content behind a paywall).
